Welcome to Dental Bridges
Regain your confidence by restoring your smile with a dental bridge
Bridges are a permanent way of filling a gap between teeth caused by one or more missing teeth. They consist of a false tooth which is held in place by the teeth next to it. It is usually made of a metal base, with tooth coloured porcelain bonded to any visible areas to make it look natural.
There are two main types of bridges, fixed or adhesive. Most often, the neighbouring tooth will need to have a crown fixed onto them which then holds the false tooth in place. This is known as a fixed bridge. Creating a fixed bridge is usually a good option if the teeth either side are strong enough to support the bridge, especially if they are already crowned or have had large fillings. Sometimes adhesive bridges can be constructed. These have less impact on the neighbouring teeth because the latest bonding techniques are used to hold the false tooth in place.
They are a great alternative to heavily preparing teeth for traditional bridges. Take a look at our work on our smile gallery
